"The real gift of gratitude is that the more grateful you are, the more present you become."     -Robert Holden

It is inevitable that there will be times in our lives when we feel we are going through it, having a rough one, or need to calm down the chatter of the mind. A great way to make these times a touch easier is with a gratitude practice!

How it works: Grab a pen & a journal or something to write on and simply start writing down anything and everything you have gratitude for.  If you are having trouble getting started, begin with the simplest of blessings; roof over your head, people you are grateful for, a good night's sleep, feeling healthy, anything! You will be surprised once you start, how many things come to mind and how much of a snowball effect gratitude takes.

This practice is so helpful because it changes your perspective and focus. It switches the direction of energy to all the truly marvelous parts of our lives we are blessed with and allows us to be more present. By shifting our thoughts to a more thankful and positive vibration, we are sending that energy out into the universe. In turn, that is the energy that will come back around to us.

Even if you are not going through a hard time, this practice is a great way to raise your vibration and works as a meditation.

Gratitude is a great attitude to take and you may find yourself feeling lighter, happier & more thankful after taking a few minutes for this practice :)
